Great interview. I think its amazing how quite possibly the best weightlifting coach who ever lived admits to not being able/wanting to step outside his coaching expertise because he has little experience in training amateurs & non-specialized athletes. A lot of us can learn from him in that we cannot always universally apply certain training as a cookie cutter solution. Methods and principles run true through many sports but a coach cannot train all athletes like elite bulgarian weightlifters. To the same extent, coaches should not be so quick to judge and shut down the bulgarian method of training if they have no experience in this style.
